Dr. Vikas Soota - B.D.S, D.D.S., FAGE
Born and raised in New Delhi, India, Dr. Soota graduated from dental school in 1997. After being granted the Fellow of Academy of General Education, he moved to Canada, and obtained his DDS in 2002 from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia.
The South Asian Professionals of Canada awarded him the "Certificate of Excellence" for outstanding and lasting contribution in the field of medical Scientology in 2004. He also successfully achieved a certificate in Implant Dentistry.
Brampton dentist Dr. Vikas enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons. He is a huge cricket fan, and an avid supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Dr. Ona Elvikis - B.Sc., D.D.S.
Born in England to Lithuanian parents, Ona came to Canada as a child. She attended Western University and has received Honors. B.Sc. in Physiology and Pharmacology degree, and then graduated from dental school.
Dr. Elvikis has been with Brampton's Tridont Dental office from its onset in 1984, enjoying all facets of general dentistry. She makes her home in the Brampton community.
Dr. Salman Rashid - B.D.S., D.D.S.
Dr. Rashid graduated from University of Toronto with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S) in June 2008. He joined Tridont Dental Centre's Brampton dental office in July 2008. He has traveled extensively as a child with his family and ended up in the beautiful city of Bouake, Ivory Coast, West Africa, where he completed his high school. He then moved to Karachi, Pakistan where he graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree (B.D.S) in 1998.
Brampton dentist Dr. Rashid commenced working as an associate and then soon joined a teaching hospital in the department of Oral Surgery. He is proficient in all areas of Dentistry, enjoys his relationships with his patients, and takes great pride and pleasure in helping them reach their dental goals.
Dr. David Leung - Periodontist
Brampton Periodontist, Dr. Leung grew up in Toronto, where he attended Upper Canada College for 11 years. He was an avid swimmer and badminton player in High School and led his teams to Provincial Championships. He attended New York University where he received degrees in Finance and Biochemistry. He loved his years in New York, as he has a great passion for art galleries, museums and the New York Yankees.
After college, he moved to Philadelphia where he attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, receiving both his doctorate and periodontics training. After 11 years away from Toronto, David moved back home where he finally has more time for his hobbies. He is also an avid cook - particularly in Asian seafood cuisine and he loves trying out new sushi restaurants. He also enjoys working out and playing softball in a local church league.
Dr. Ha Young Kim
Having spent most of my childhood in Toronto, I went onto McMaster University to obtain Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology. Afterwards, I enrolled into University of Toronto and successfully completed Doctor of Dental Surgery program. Although my academic training have finished, I am an avid learner and I strive to constantly commit myself to more knowledge and new technologies. Furthermore, my foremost goal as dentist is to build genuine relationships with all patients and provide high quality treatment efficiently. In my spare time, my hobbies include rock climbing and traveling.
Dr. Andrea Heckler, DMD, MSc(Ortho), FRCD(C)
Dr. Heckler was born and grew up in Montreal, and completed her dental training at McGill University. She graduated as the Valedictorian of her class, and also won awards in orthodontics and community involvement. After dental school, she completed a one year multidisciplinary residency program at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. There, she obtained further training in all aspects of dentistry, including treating patients with craniofacial anomalies, dental trauma, and medically-compromised patients.
Toronto had always been Dr. Heckler’s second home, as she grew up visiting her grandparents, aunt and uncle, cousins and friends in Toronto. After her residency training in Montreal, she pursued her specialty training in Orthodontics at the University of Toronto, completing an additional 3-year master’s degree specializing in Orthodontics. Dr. Heckler loves teaching, and is happy to make sure you understand your treatment, every step of the way.
